Strategies
To achieve these goals, DPF has developed the following strategies:
- Implement an integrated development approach that includes climate change adaptation in development planning to promote environmental, biodiversity and ecosystem conservation.
- Act as a facilitator, catalyst and mediator for disadvantaged farmers, agricultural workers and small and medium enterprises in addressing operational, mitigation and adaptation issues of extreme climate change.
- Strengthen and expand partnerships with key stakeholders such as government agencies, private and public companies, financial institutions, business sectors, academic institutions and international organizations.
- Integrate nature-based and ecosystem approaches into development efforts to improve DPF services to communities and ensure ecosystem sustainability.
Monitoring and Evaluation
To effectively monitor project progress, an operational plan will be established annually with quarterly follow-up, aligned to output indicators set out in a logical framework. DPF head office personnel conduct regular field visits. In addition, internal evaluations are conducted annually and a team of external evaluators conducts annually, with a comprehensive final project evaluation planned. Since 1985, DPF financial statements have undergone external audits by independent public accountants.
