Jakarta, MINA – The Japanese Embassy in Indonesia handed over Grassroots Grant assistance for Human Security for the second period of the 2022 fiscal year, Thursday (9/3).

The two projects selected to receive Grassroots Grant assistance are “The Project for Improvement of Water Supply System in Pagergunung, Blitar, East Java” by the Daya Pertiwi Foundation and “The Project for Construction of Islamic Elementary School Building in Banyumas, Lampung” by the Mathla’ul Anwar Tasik Foundation.

Japanese Ambassador Kanasugi Kenji in his speech during the signing of the Grassroots Grant assistance contract at the Japanese Embassy in Jakarta said that this is part of the Japanese Government's project to directly assist the Indonesian people by utilizing knowledge from foundations/organizations such as NGOs that carry out "grassroots" activities.

He said that the projects signed this time are superior projects that have been selected by the Japanese Embassy. These projects are very important for human changes.

He hopes that this assistance can be carried out right on target, so that it can contribute to social development in Indonesia.

Made Dharsana Polak, Chairman of the Daya Pertiwi Foundation and Nanang Solihi, Chairman of the Mathla'ul Anwar Tasik Foundation, on that occasion expressed their gratitude to the Japanese Embassy.

"This is an honor for us to collaborate with the Japanese Embassy for the second time. The first project is still running well and our principle when collaborating with any party is to prioritize professionalism, credibility and transparency," said Made.
