Rakyat Merdeka - The Japanese government handed over a grant of drinking water purifiers to Malang Regency, East Java Province. The facility built in Wirotaman Village, Ampelgading, was inaugurated on Friday (25/2).
The inauguration was carried out by Malang Regent Sanusi. Present on the occasion were the Secretary of Japanese Embassy, Kimura Yusuke, the Consul General of Japan, Takeyama Kenichi, and the President Director of Yamaha, Mikio Muramatsu, and the Chairperson of the Daya Pertiwi Foundation Made Darsana Polak.
This Water Purifier Facility is a Japanese assistance program through the Daya Pertiwi Foundation in The Project for Construction of Water Purification System in Wirotaman, Malang, East Java.
This assistance is a grassroots grant implemented after the signing of the Japanese Government with the Daya Pertiwi Foundation in March 2020. In collaboration with Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd,.
"So far, people have been using drinking water containing aluminum and other chemical elements from springs, which often causes diarrhea and other health problems. Through the results of this project, we hope that people can get access to clean and safe water," said Kimura Yusuke, as a representative of the Japanese Government.
